His point would be that ppl are constantly taking metagaming further and further - and ask what would be next? RL murder and suicides has been commited in other MMOG's over the loss of virtual items, and it would be naive to believe ppl in a game like Eve (where death penalties and loss is much greater and severe compared to other MMOG's) would'nt go there if things continue to escalate. But ure right in that an entire community(BOB) should'nt be singled out in such a manner.
